Individual feedback should add clarity and purpose to the work a swimmer is already doing. Long-term development matters more than a quick fix.
Hydrodynamics was created to give swimmers the focused technical coaching that can be difficult to find in a typical squad environment.
Swimming technique is connected. Hydrodynamics considers what an observation means for propulsion, drag, timing and the preservation of speed—then translates that reasoning into a useful intervention.
An isolated technical feature is not automatically the most important one. The process looks for the main performance constraint: the issue with the greatest practical influence on how the swimmer creates and preserves speed.
That keeps the feedback focused. The swimmer can understand why a priority matters, what to try and how progress will be reconsidered.
You’ll receive an analysis of one stroke or skill, revealing your technical strengths, the main constraint affecting performance and a set of practical cues and drills. In addition, you will receive a brief walkthrough and implementation plan - you may opt to receive this via Zoom or asynchronously.
No. Hydrodynamics aims to support your existing coach and training program. We provide the individual technical attention that can be difficult to deliver consistently within a busy squad. Our goal is to give you clearer priorities to take back into your regular training.
The service is primarily designed for competitive age-group swimmers and their parents, particularly swimmers who train consistently but need more individual technical feedback. Adult competitive and masters swimmers may also apply.
If your application is accepted, you’ll receive a detailed filming guide explaining how to record three short landscape videos of one stroke or skill. You do not need professional equipment - a modern smartphone is sufficient.
Please ensure that your pool permits filming beforehand.
Your footage is used only to assess your swimming and deliver the review. It is not used for marketing without separate written permission. A parent or legal guardian must complete the process for swimmers under 18. Full details are provided in the Hydrodynamics Privacy, Video and Child Safety Policy. [LINK]
